Focus Stacking

When photographing small items or items at an angle photography has limits to how much will be in focus in one photograph (Depth of Focus/Field).

 

An image with part of an item in focus and the back half out of focus can be an effective image, but most of the time clients want the whole Hero in focus. To accomplish this I use "Focus Stacking", where I shoot between 4 and 100 images set to different focus points on the subject and then combine the In-focus slice of each image into a single image.
